Trying out an idea.....
I love making art from recycled materials. At my mom's she has a basketful of unwanted mail just waiting to be turned into a treasure. I created this abstract piece from magazine pages and a piece of firm cardboard.
Begin by rolling paper in all kinds of ways....thin, wide, small, chunky, tight curls, loose curls...Once you have about 40 rolls, I spread glue on on the board.....ran out of modge podge...
Recent Journal Pages....Beginning of the summer
I have been keeping a journal since I was about 7. But just recently I discovered the fun of visual or art journaling. I made my own book journal last month. To see pictures of this process click HERE.
I love experimenting with various FONTS and textures.
I tested out a new stencil I created last week.....one of a Greek Column.
Here is a quick sketch of how I wanted my 'Russell Pearce's War on Children' political digital Collage to look like. To see the finished product can be seen HERE.I adore trees.......branches, leaves, flowers...anything with natural forms.
Here is my quick rendition of my mom's garden.
Nora celebrated her 3rd birthday this past week and her most amazing chocolate cake has been sitting in the refrigerator the whole week....calling my name....

Recycled paper doll...
I saw a tutorial online about how to make recycled paper dolls.....this is what my final doll looks like.......I am very happy about it.
You begin by blending shredded newspaper, and water in a blender to create pulp...
Drain the pulp and begin forming the body parts...
Takes a couple of days for the pieces to dry. Before they were set to dry, I used a sharp tool to create holes in the legs, arms and twice on the torso.
Paint the whole body
Sew a skirt from leftover fabric.
Form wings and crown from coated benadable wire.
The wings being glued on.
and VOILA!!!
Canvases ready for new paintings.....
Some healthy foods I've been making....
My mom's garden.....
My mom's garden.....in Long Island.
They have this amazing canopy arbour.....Cute sculptures everywhere.
Private and cool...
I love these sculptures....at one point my mom was really into frogs and that's all enyone ever gave her for her garden.....no, I think she's no longer INTO frogs.
these are as big as our heads....
My beautiful mom and my sweet daughter.
Concord grapes.....almost ready. We have a war every summer with the raccoons who seem to know exactly when they are ripe and come and eat them ALL in one night....
These reach out to the sky.....
And even more sort of creepy sculptures...
love this refleciton...
Dalias......love them!!!

Have to know how to fight
Do you know how to fight? If you care about your relationships dare to practice fighting. It does not really matter what you fight over.......
