Perspective Series

Please go to my Etsy Store to see details and more variations in the series.

I have been reflecting on the varying perspectives coming up around the Israeli-Palestinian conflict this summer and as openly discussed on various Facebook pages I frequent. These "perspective" work series are representations of my experience reading these opinions coming from both sides. Work signed, labeled and dated on back.

I love these Fiskars squeeze punchers...I must have about 20 of them.....every time we get unwanted mail I sit down with my kids and punch out amazing shapes from our unwanted mail and unsolicited catalogues.

Pictures of Circles from my new GIANT FISKARS CIRCLE SQUEEZE PUNCH

When working with these circles there is a huge element of chance at work. You might just find one that looks just so beautiful.  Like finding a visual gem.
In a stack they feel like playing cards. In this pile are minute little samples of our civilization.

I will make hundreds of these before I start.  I have a 4 feetx3 feet canvas I would love to start on very soon.

Obsessed with Fiskars Punchers

It began with a curious new art toy I bought myself online.  I cannot even recall what was going through my mind when I bought it. Once I began using these Fiskars Punchers I was hooked. Oddly enough, I have a very hard time figuring out why I like them so much. It might be the million possibilities I come up with when I work with them or the fact that each perfect circle is similar to strange planets. I start each work with a vague idea of a pattern, a rule. I create boxes and circles based on my basic plan. I then paint the entire canvas either black, red or white. You can view or buy them at my etsy sites http://www.miriamsart.etsy.com OR http://www.mm72873.etsy.com. I am slowly moving toward ideas around paper mosaic on wooded furniture that has been previously painted black.  I have 4 chairs I found at a thrift store and will get started on them as soon as I decide whether to use recycled paper colors or buy paper in the colors I need.

Have to know how to fight

Do you know how to fight? If you care about your relationships dare to practice fighting.  It does not really matter what you fight over.......
